The Process.

  • 1. Initial Contact

This is the first point of contact. Send photos of your entire piece (back, front, any damage), the size, and concerns you have regarding the piece’s condition to Tophatartrestoration@gmail.com

  • 2. Examination and Proposal

In just a few weeks you’ll receive a free proposal including a recommended treatment for your piece. The treatment proposal is inclusive of an estimated finish date and the cost of conservation. In the event the level of deterioration is beyond reperation, no further action will be taken.

  • 3. Condition Report

Upon acceptance of the proposal, matters including transportation will be discussed. The address of business will be supplied at this point. Top Hat Art Restoration operates by appointment only. During treatment, a Condition Report will be prepared recording all findings and materials utilized during the treatment.

  • 4. Treatment Report

This will be a short summary of the actual treatment performed to your piece. This will optionally be attached to the back of a piece. Once your work is finished, your piece will then scheduled to be returned to yourself.
